An analysis of microstrip line on ferrimagnetic substrates is presented. Hertz vector potentials, oriented along the ferrite magnetization direction, are used for obtaining the dyadic Green's function in the Fourier transform domain. The propagation constant and characteristic impedance of the structure are calculated from the expressions obtained used in conjunction with Galerkin's method. Results for the propagation constant as a function of frequency are shown.
