Compensation for the impact of phase noise (PN) on circular filter-bank multi-carrier offset quadrature amplitude modulation (CFBMC-OQAM) systems in the presence of insufficient cyclic prefix (CP) is considered in this paper. A two-stage PN compensation algorithm which takes into account the interferences induced from insufficient CP is proposed. While the channel and PN are estimated in the first stage based on the transmission of preambles, the data detection and PN compensation are performed in the second stage for the rest of data blocks based on the transmission of pilot symbols and the estimated channel obtained from the first stage. In this paper, the preambles are designed such that the first stage is performed independently from the insufficient CP impact. To improve performance of the second stage, a feed-forwarded interference subtraction procedure is proposed. Simulation results are obtained in a practical scenario to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
