Existing battery state of health estimation methods either use a fitted function from laboratory data or a point-based estimation method to estimate the capacity fade and resistance rise. These methods are typically not robust due to the dynamics of battery behaviors. To solve this problem, we proposed a novel internal resistance curve-based state estimation method. Instead of using point-estimation to estimate the battery state of health, we estimate the battery capacity fade and resistance rise based on the curve of the internal resistance and thus provides better accuracy than the existing methods.
