The electrification of freight transport represents a significant advancement in the optimization of a supply chain, particularly for rising environmental concerns and the need for cost-effective logistics solutions. This paper investigates the variation in charging infrastructure and charging cost sensitivity on the cost-benefit analysis of electric truck fleets, focusing on the total cost of ownership (TCO) and operational efficiency. By analyzing various charging techniques, including conductive charging and battery swapping, the study highlights the critical factors influencing the adoption of electric trucks at the fleet level. A comprehensive methodology is proposed, incorporating organizational requirements such as delivery schedules, payload, and driving behavior, alongside a Monte Carlo simulation to examine the reliability of the model under varying energy costs. The findings indicate that a rigorous and simplified cost-benefit analysis is essential for fleet managers to make informed decisions regarding the transition to electric trucks. This research contributes to the understanding of how strategic charging infrastructure can facilitate the adoption of ETs, ultimately leading to reduced emissions and enhanced operational efficiency in the freight transport sector.
