The pursuit of driving comfort and superior handling performance in vehicles has been a long-standing goal in the field of automotive engineering. The emergence of semi-active suspension systems represents a significant leap forward, offering a dynamic compromise between traditional passive systems and complex active systems. However, achieving optimal control of semi-active dampers remains an important challenge. The introduction of fuzzy controllers revolutionized this landscape, introducing a new approach to suspension control. This paper presents a comprehensive exploration of the development, principles, and applications of fuzzy controllers, demonstrating their transformative impact on vehicle dynamics. The controller outcomes indicate that the sprung mass acceleration, tire load, and suspension distortion were significantly reduced with average percentages of 15%,2%, and 5%, respectively.
