These days, the demand for electric power got augmented and consequentially, maintenance entailed is now more than ever. To safeguard and replace components involved in the circuit, the circuit needs to be switched off. The main circuit breaker or the main switch which connects the feeders is used to halt the connection between the source and the loads connected parallel to it. During the time of breaking the connection between the source and the loads, the main switch is put under a lot of strain as a huge amount of current needs to be encumbered in an instant. This paper presents an alternate efficient method to reduce the stress on the main breaker by switching off each switch connected to individual feeders with a small delay.
