We explore nanocrystal-doped microsphere resonators as building blocks for coupled-resonator optical waveguides. The evolution of waveguide modes is studied using polarization-sensitive microphotoluminescence spectroscopy. We demonstrate the formation of linear waveguides and light-bending resonator arrays.
