The research for ship traffic flow can ensure the marine traffic safety better, providing reference for safety management options to competent authorities. This article highlights the impact factors of ship traffic flow conflict and builds a conflict severity system with “human-machine-environment-management” model and the conflict features of ship traffic flow; conducts multiple linear regression analysis and process through using SPSS statistical software and monitoring current AIS data; reaches discrimination function by clustering analysis to classify waters with the various conflict severity, in order to obtain maritime traffic flow conflict severity discrimination model.
