Optical parametric oscillator (OPO) by quasi-phase matching (QPM) device can emit continuously tunable coherent radiation in various wavelength range, and can be used for many applications such as a molecular spectroscopy, air-pollution detection, and so on. In this paper, we demonstrate high energy OPO of 77 mJ output with pumping pulses of 12 ns duration by using PPMgLN with 5 mm/spl times/5 mm aperture.
