• It is possible to use Safety Design Patterns to define system architectures in an IMA system that complies with 14CFR 25.1309 objectives • Safety Objectives for higher-criticality functions may require combination of several design patterns • Quantitative analysis may be reused for several functions in the IMA system, if they use the same patterns and the quantitative assumptions are maintained
