The development of a novel technology for drop-on-demand microjet printing of microlenses, ranging in configuration from spherical to hyperbolic and anamorphic, has been described earlier. This presentation focuses on the utilization of this technology for the printing of hemi-cylindrical ridge waveguides for multimode optical interconnections.
