With the development of tourism, the flow of tourists aggravates the traffic state of the road connecting the scenic spot with commuting traffic and through traffic. In order to analyse the formation of tourism traffic, this paper proposed a Nested Logit model (NL model) to capture the travel mode and route choice behaviour of tourism, and a stated preference (SP) survey based on the Badaling Great Wall is conducted to obtain the data needed for the model. The estimation results show tourists are more likely to choose car (including self-driving, taxi and rental car). Compared with family tourism, the proportion of public transport is more in the friends tourism. And the tourists in group are more likely to choose tour bus than the other tourists.
