To improve the parameter robustness of the feedforward formula-based flux-weakening (FBFW) method, a parameter robust FBFW method based on current prediction error (FBFW-CPE) is proposed in this article. The CPE is employed to extract the accurate value of the intermediate variable required by the FBFW, and an improved flux-weakening formula that is not affected by the parameter mismatch is proposed, so as to enhance the parameter robustness and environmental adaptability. The proposed method can also solve the parameter mismatch problem of deadbeat predictive current control (DPCC) with the intermediate variables. The recursive least-squares (RLS) method is introduced to the proposed method to improve the stability of the method and reduce harmonics. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, sufficient simulations and experiments are carried out on the conventional FBFW method and the proposed FBFW-CPE method. According to the comparison of the results of simulations and experiments, it is learned that the proposed method has a better performance under various parameter mismatch conditions and various working conditions.
