In integrated multisensor surveillance systems, a prerequisite for sensor data fusion is accurate registration of the sensors. In this paper, a recursive Bayesian method for sensor registration at the sensor level is proposed that exploits airlane information., A probabilistic model of the state of a target of opportunity is first formulated based on the airlane information. Then, the paper describes a sequential Monte Carlo approach of jointly estimating the fixed sensor parameters and the unknown airlane of the target of opportunity. Finally, an example application to the estimation of the alignment angle of a groundbased radar is provided to illustrate the performance of the method.
