Ship detection has attracted researchers for more than a decade and is now becoming more and more mature and an operational service. In this work ship detection modules related to clutter modeling, parameter estimation and detection are employed for different types of SAR data. Namely, both ASAR and TerraSAR-X data are used and Weibull fitting is used for both cases. The suggested scheme provides reliable detection results for both cases.
