Lateral-load transfer rate is considered and seven freedoms of dynamic model of vehicles are established to simulate vehicle roll stability. This simulation model can be used to analyze vehicle dynamic characteristic and roll stability. The impact factors of roll stability are analyzed with different structure and property parameters in steering wheel angle step input with different speed such as speed, tread, gravity center height of sprung mass, roll stiffness. When the speed or the steering angle exceeds threshold values it will lift off firstly, it indicates that driving axles of vehicle is the dangerous axles for vehicle driving safety. And vehicle roll stability can be promoted by enlarging track, reducing the center height of sprung mass, enhancing suspension roll stiffness. The result can be used in vehicle design. It also can give some reference for vehicle maneuverability and stability.
