This paper presents an approach to classify the heights of targets with radar systems. The algorithm is based on the analysis of the superposition of several reflections at a high target. The result is a superposition of the different received signals. On the contrary to a high target, a low target has only one reflection point and one propagation path. In this paper, a technique is proposed to detect the superposition and consequently classify targets as low or high. Finally the algorithm is evaluated with measurements.
