Summary form only given. Control of the polarization of light is an important issue in many optical systems. Subwavelength gratings may provide the needed polarization functionality in a compact, low-cost format. However, the present study of subwavelength optical elements is very limited. In this study, we demonstrate a polarizing reflector with a double-layer subwavelength metal grating structure.
