A generalized two-stage PNG-based guidance law for impact angle control interception is presented. It is an extential form of the existing two-stage guidance scheme in theory, which can be directly applied to the interception for nonmaneuvering targets in a surface-to-surface engagement scenario. In virtue of the relative velocity vector, the minimum value of navigation gain is derived for the formulation of the proposed guidance law, and a modified form of switch naviagation gain is introduced to analyze the characteristics corresponding to the guidance commands. The simulation results show successful achievement of all impact angles for constant speed missile model, and the conclusions obtained provide a meaningful instruction for the application of the generalized guidance scheme in realistic engagements.
