This paper describes a method of centralized correlation of Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) pulse sequences between widely separated pairs of Remote Unit (RU) receivers to isolate the sequences that have been emitted by individual aircraft. Once isolated, Time of Arrival (TOA) of individual pulses may be examined to form the basis of pulse-specific Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) multilateration in the usual way.
