The PROPWING denotes a novel propulsion concept for light airplanes, sailplanes and motorgliders, originally proposed by the authors. A number of small electric motors are installed in the wings and the propellers rotate throughout openings in the wing skin. The concept has been examined in a flight test campaign with the use of a scale model airplane and the system showed its functionality, what was reported in past works. This paper includes results of numerical simulations of the PROPWING system performed with the use of CFD-software.
