Monolithically integrated optoelectronic circuits using HBTs, EAMs and novel multifunctional transistor electroabsorption transceivers (TEATs) are demonstrated. In particular, we present an EAM monolithically integrated with a driver circuit and a novel optoelectronic differential amplifier.
