The resolution of an SAR/ISAR (synthetic aperture radar/inverse synthetic aperture radar) image of a nonuniformly rotating target can be improved by coherently combining corrected images obtained from small sections of th integration time. Results from data obtained from a ship on the open seal with an S-band radar are presented.<>
