This research introduces an advanced vehicle safety system designed to mitigate traffic-related accidents by addressing the limitations of traditional traffic management systems, which have been increasingly strained due to urbanization. The system integrates GPS for continuous vehicle tracking, GSM for emergency alerts, and various sensors controlled by an ARM microcontroller to monitor vehicle performance and dynamics. Key functionalities of the system include real-time vehicle location tracking via GPS, which aids in navigation and enhances emergency response capabilities. GSM technology is employed to automatically send SMS alerts, including the vehicle's location coordinates, to emergency contacts in case of an accident. The ARM microcontroller processes data from sensors such as vibration sensors for collision detection, speed sensors for monitoring excessive speeds, and proximity sensors for obstacle detection. This system provides timely notifications to both drivers and emergency services, improving response times and potentially saving lives. By integrating these technologies, the system offers a comprehensive solution to road safety challenges, addressing critical issues like speed and collision risks while enhancing situational awareness through real-time data displayed on an LCD screen. This research highlights the effectiveness of combining GPS, GSM, and sensor technologies to develop a robust vehicle safety system, contributing to the advancement of intelligent safety solutions in the automotive industry and laying the groundwork for future innovations in this field.
