Ultrafast all-optical signal processing is described. We achieved pulse regeneration at 84 Gbps and wavelength conversion at 168 Gbps using symmetric Mach-Zehnder (SMZ) type all-optical switches. Regenerated and wavelength-converted pulses were demultiplexed to 10.5 Gbps using a hybrid-integrated SMZ to verify error-free operation.
