A spacing-adjustable multi-wavelength pulsed source has been proposed using an EDF ring laser that consists of a 2 km standard single mode fiber to support stimulated Brillouin scattering. Multi-wavelength outputs with spectral spacing ranging from 0.08 to 1.20 nm are produced using PMF-LMFs with different fiber lengths. A 10 GHz multi-wavelength pulse source is obtained by external modulation of the laser output with an electro-absorption modulator.
