Large power stations are often chosen to be the target for missiles guided by an infrared seeker. An aimpoint finding algorithm is presented. Boiler images and straight lines of-chimneys and water cooling towers are taken as the reference feature objects for locating and keeping the aimpoint from long to short distances. Some experimental results are given to show the validity of the method.
