In this study, a gain scheduling output feedback controller is presented to solve the stabilization and tracking problems for the airbreathing hypersonic vehicle with the actuator saturation nonlinearity under consideration. In order to utilize this method, linearized motion equations of the hypersonic vehicle at the trimmed condition are first obtained by disturbing the system with small increments. Simulations show that the controller is able to stabilize the hypersonic vehicle system and track the reference signals around the nominal cruising flight effectively.
