Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing (V/STOL) aircraft can be modeled as a Planar Vertical Takeoff and Landing (PVTOL) aircraft. For hovering control, as the coupling between the rolling moment and the lateral thrust of the aircraft and the non-minimum phase characteristics of the system, there always has been a hovering control problem. In this paper, in order to solve the longitudinal maneuvering flight problem of the hovering PVTOL, cascading Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) method is applied to the hovering control. Simulation results show that the method of this paper plays good performance and robustness on the hovering control of the PVTOL aircraft.
