In this paper we present the further pulse compression using microstructured silica-glass fibers (photonic crystal fiber (PCF) and tapered fiber (TF)). The greatly improved system consists of a programmable spatial light modulator (SLM: 648 pixel number) set in a 4-f configuration, a highly sensitive modified SPIDER (M-SPIDER) and personal computers for the spectral-phase analysis with the SLM feedback control. It is concluded that this is the shortest PCF pulse compression result in the two-cycle region (2.3 cycles).
