Based on the SYSTEMA v4 framework, Astrium has developed a new GTD application for solving antenna's decoupling and evaluating the electromagnetism power on specific targets or apertures. This tool uses a corrected forward ray-tracing technique which is particularly efficient for solving antennas — structure interactions in the high frequency domain. Besides, the INCA module, also developed by Astrium in the frame of an ESA contract, asses the electromagnetic field inside the spacecraft cavities due to external radiation (which may be computed by the GTD module) and internal RF unit leakages. This methodology lies on the Oversized Cavity Theory, considering the satellite cavities as multimode ones.
