Locating parking spots for automobiles is a significant issue in many large, overcrowded cities. We propose in this article the design and implementation of a true intelligent parking system using IoT technologies and mobile applications. This could provide more than just information on available spaces; it might also assist the user in locating the best spot for parking the vehicle in effort to reduce congestion in the parking lot. Additionally, we utilize IoT technology to save all information on a cloud system, allowing for highly easy management and storage of all data pertaining to cars and available parking space in the parking lot. Virtually 5G is seamlessly connecting a massive number of embedded sensors providing lean and low-cost connectivity solutions, where everything, everyone including objects, machines and devices are connected. This cloud-based solution would simplify store data and transfer between various PCs in the workspace. The design will enhance the entire smart parking system, facilitating vehicle management and data storage physically connecting the 5G network for better service from the industries.
