In this paper a new fast preliminary design analysis tool is presented for identifying structural concept models of composite wing structures with emphasize on bend-twist coupling. The research focused on the analysis of a box-beam load carrying structure of a wing using an in-house code. Results are compared and validated with analytical, numerical and experimental data available in published literature. The developed tool is used to evaluate the aeroelastic response of the load bearing structure of a composite wing. A fast qualitative analysis of the wing box response is made based on the predicted bend and twist behavior proving the usefulness of such preliminary design tools.
