This paper presents a Last-mile-logistic Platform for multi companies within urban areas. The problem of Last-Mile Logistics has gained significant attention due to the growing trend of urbanization. It is considered one of the most inefficient, costly, and polluting parts of the supply chain. The literature offers various definitions of Last-Mile Logistics, and the most common one which generally refers as the final stage of the delivery process from the last distribution center to the recipient’s preferred destination point, has been adopted. The Logistics Platform is a multi role platform, and seems to be as a valuable tool for both platform and company manager in Last-Mile Logistics. The platform unifies operations and functionalities, allowing for the hosting of multiple companies with different needs. Although the Logistics Platform has already shown promising results as a tool that covers all stage of Last-Mile Logistics, further development is necessary to enhance the role of the platform manager. In fact, by having access to data from all companies on the platform, the platform manager can play a key role to: (1) improve collaboration and cooperation among companies, (2) optimize routes also with respect some parameters idle from company managers’ prospective, and (3) highlight the need for urban policies that support Last-Mile Logistics.
