A spectrometer is constructed for investigation of Rydberg states of Al atoms, Nine frequencies of two-photon transitions of nF/sub 5/2, 7/2/ /spl rarr/ (n+1)F/sub 5/2, 7/2/ type in the range of principal quantum number n from 29 to 37 are measured with the accuracy of three orders of magnitude better than previously available data in the optical wavelength range.
