A method is presented for a single camera based robust 3D human head tracking in highly cluttered and complex real world environments. The method makes effective use of a recently introduced real-time 3D depth sensing technology, resulting in illumination-invariant face tracking. The tracker's robust head depth estimates are further used for an important application of body lean estimation.
