This research study presents a novel method for real-time storage of accident data in vehicles. It focuses on utilization of camera-captured image data during driving. The need for such data arises from the desire to determine the circumstances surrounding a vehicle accident and allocate fault between involved parties. Extensive research and development efforts have been dedicated for creating black boxes in vehicles which store information about driving and speed of vehicles. Among these innovations, a vehicle accident data recording apparatus has gained significant attention. This device captures images of external environment during an accident using an onboard camera, leveraging both pre-accident and post-accident images along with driving data to investigate causes of the incident. An accident in this context refers to an unforeseen event that can result in damage to the vehicle or harm to its occupants. The proposed method employs a microcontroller interfaced with communicating devices and sensors. Specifically, temperature and gas sensors are utilized to gather critical information related to road accidents. The collected information is stored through IOT and SD card modules respectively.
