Inland all-electric ship is receiving more and more attention due to its advantages in terms of low carbon, energy conservation, and flexibility in operation mode. However, its extensive promotion and application are held back by various problems such as long charging time, high cost of energy supplement, environmental factors, etc. In addition, the complexity of the electric ship fleet also poses a challenge to its optimal operation. Hence, an optimal voyage scheduling model of the inland all-electric ship fleet, with departure time and speed of each ship as the decision variables, is firstly established to minimize the total battery-swapping cost and the total waiting time in this paper. Based on the battery-swapping mode, the model takes environmental factors and time-of-use electricity prices into account. Second, adaptive particle swarm optimization is used to solve the proposed model, and the comparative analysis is made. Finally, an all-electric ship fleet operating in the Yangtze River is selected as a study case, and the simulation results show that the proposed model can effectively reduce the total battery-swapping cost and the total waiting time.
