A common instrument for assessing unusual driving behaviour is the Driver Behaviour Questionnaire (DBQ). Despite the prominence of the self-report approach, DBQ implementation in developing countries like India has gone unnoticed. The purpose of this study is to use the DBQ to examine abnormal driving behaviour toward road safety measures and to look into the association between demographic characteristics and abnormal driver behaviour and traffic offences. According to exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on surveyed data, the derived three-factor, namely offence, fault, and lapse, categorises the degree of aberrant driving behaviours. Additionally, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), which is also a strong fit for behaviour prediction, was used to verify the model's validity and reliability. Important data on the effects of demographics on driving behaviour were found, and this information will help preventative measures be developed in the future.
