Due to the huge need for it in intelligent transportation systems, vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) has emerged as one of the quickly developing technologies for information transfer (ITS). In order to increase the experience of the ride, VANET offers two categories of services: safety and entertainment while vehicles are in motion. VANETs, however, are vulnerable to a number of security issues. This study reviews potential security breaches and suggests potential fixes as well as a direction for further research.
