A novel all-optical incoherent negative tapping technique for fiber optic tapped delay line (FOTDL) is proposed. This technique is realized by the cross intensity modulation of the longitudinal modes of an injection-locked Fabry-Perot (F-P) laser diode. A fiber optic delay line canceller is experimentally demonstrated using this technique.
