In this paper, an integral-type position and speed estimator is developed for sensorless control of PMSM to enhance the filter ability in estimating the rotor speed. Based on the variable gradient method, a Lyapunov function is developed to show that the proposed integral-type estimator is stability. Compared with the SRF-PLL based estimator, the proposed integral-type estimator has better filter capability in estimating the rotor speed. Simulation tests also verify the superior performance of the proposed integral-type estimator, in terms of accurate speed estimation.
