A simulation model of gasoline engine based on torque control is built in order to facilitate the design and simulation of control strategies. The simulating processes and framework of these models are described in the environment of Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that the torque control system is an effective control strategy for engine control in the whole automotive control system and the simulation model is useful to the development and simulation for an engine control system.
