A Ground based Ultrawideband Multistatic Positioning System (GUMPS) for VTOL aircraft position determination and GPS integrity monitoring has been developed under a NASA Phase II SBIR and its first generation hardware is currently undergoing laboratory testing. This paper presents the GUMPS architecture, results from simulation studies, the development and testing of the system hardware and software, and plans for outdoor testing scheduled for April 2021.
