The asymptotical stability for a class of neutral systems with time-varying delay and nonlinearity is studied. Together with triple integral functional technique, through choosing an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) and using some novel integral inequalities, then combined convex combination technique is used to give more tighter bound on the derivative of LKF and a stability criterion is presented in terms of LMIs. Especially, some previously ignored information in present works can be fully reconsidered. Finally, two numerical examples with comparing results can be presented to illustrate the reduced conservatism of proposed results.
