Spectral and energy characteristics of two benzopyrane dyes lasing in dispersion cavity with jitter under excitation by some different wavelengths of auxiliary flashlamp-pumped dye laser are presented. These dyes have high quantum yield of fluorescence (q /spl diams/0.96) and efficiently lase in the red region. Tuning range of their laser radiation exceeds 100 nm. Peculiarities of converting selective excitation energy by molecules of the dyes are discussed.
