Generally, the speed limit signs are set up in front of curves on highways, and the linear guidance signs are set up at curves to remind drivers to slow down, pay attention to changes in route direction, guide the direction of driving, and improve driving safety. However, in adverse weather conditions, factors such as the visual recognition effect of the sign, the friction performance of the road surface, and the braking performance of the vehicle will change with changes in pavement slipperiness and visibility. Therefore, under adverse weather conditions, the slippery pavement and low visibility can directly affect the driving safety of highway curves. This article conducts research on the methods and systems for inducing safe driving in slippery and low visibility curves. Based on the changes in slipperiness and visibility, different guidance control strategies for curves driving are developed, including automatic adjustment of curves speed limit values, automatic movement of speed limit sign positions, automatic adjustment of curves traffic guidance sign spacing and corners, automatic control of the opening and closing of curves traffic guidance sign LED beads, luminous color, luminous brightness, flashing frequency, etc. The study comprehensively considered two environmental factors that affect the safety of driving on curves, namely pavement slipperiness and visibility, achieving dual dynamic control of dynamic movement of guidance signs and dynamic changes in control strategies, achieving guidance for driving on curves in adverse weather conditions, and improving the safety of driving on curves.
