The Modern power systems include high penetration of renewable energy resources such as wind and solar generation due to enormous advantages. The wind energy system (WES) has been developed with self-excited induction generator (SEIG) equipped with a hybrid FACTS controller comprising a multi-level DSTATCOM and D-GCSC for controlling terminal voltage against load disturbances. The FFT analysis have been performed to obtain the THD values. The developed system results have been presented in three cases where case one includes with capacitor bank alone, case two represents with multi-level DSTATCOM and case three with hybrid compensator. All the three cases have been presented in this article and THD analysis have been made for all 3 cases and it is observed that, with hybrid FACTS controller, it tremendously reduced to very low value which is highly acceptable according to IEEE standards.
