This paper introduces an Internet of Things (IoT)-based system to optimize battery utilization in autonomous electric vehicles (AVs). Focused on enhancing sustainable transportation, the proposed framework uses on-device data processing to maintain privacy and reduce network congestion. By decentralizing AI across vehicles, it enables real-time, adaptive energy management that is sensitive to dynamic driving conditions and external factors like traffic and weather. The security and privacy challenges in the integration of energy management systems in transportation networks are addressed by implementing a federated learning-based method. Additionally, this approach addresses scalability challenges and integrates seamlessly with existing Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), demonstrating significant improvements in battery efficiency and vehicle performance through collaborative data utilization.
