Automated drawing conversion systems which can convert paper-based engineering drawings into a format which is acceptable for existing computer-aided drafting systems are very desirable. This paper describes a system which has been developed for the recognition of dimensional information present in the drawing and reconstruction of the drawing based on the recognized dimension sets to rectify the errors induced during scanning and vectorization.
